The Zwelihle Youth Choir is a dynamic and inspiring ensemble from Zwelihle,Hermanus. Composed of exceptionally talented young singers, the choir uses the power of music to uplift, unite, and captivate audiences.
Their performances celebrate the rich rhythms, harmonies, and melodies of African sounds, bringing every song to life with passion, precision, and heart. From stirring choral harmonies to powerful solo moments, the choir delivers unforgettable experiences that honour their heritage while showcasing their extraordinary talent.
Bevil Spence is a full-time drum maker, drum circle facilitator and hand drumming teacher, whose mission it is to spread the joy and healing power of traditional hand drumming to as many people as possible. Locally he works with the Volmoed Youth Leadership Training Programme and with the Camphill Farm Community in the Hemel & Aarde Valley, as well as with groups from Zwelihle.
Feel free to join in, relax and enjoy the de-stressing benefits, when you hear their infectious rhythms as they pop up during the Festival.

We have an abundance of accomplished musicians in the Overstrand, and we have invited a number of them to add to the festive atmosphere during the 2026 Hermanus FynArts Festival.
Keep your ears open for the sounds of a saxophone,a violin, a guitar, a ukelele or trumpet – there may be a surprise just aroundthe next corner.
And please don’t be shy to contribute when the hat goes around, adding appreciationto your applause!
