SCULPTORS LEGACY WALK

The Sculpture on the Cliffs at Gearing’s Point has enriched the enjoyment of visitors and locals alike since its inception in 2014, and it has since become probably the most photographed feature in Hermanus.

Its engaging presence was in recent years expanded to a permanent Sculptor’s Legacy Walk along High Street in Hermanus, consisting of artworks by the artists who are part of the Sculpture on the Cliffs family.

Through the Sculptors’ Legacy Walk we have democratised sculptures and created a permanent opportunity for all and sundry to experience and enjoy the sculptors’ legacy for many years to come.

As more works will annually be added to the collection, this project of the Hermanus FynArts Festival has the potential to become a unique destination on the South African art scene where visitors can enjoy the rich sculptural history of South Africa.
