Cape Wine Master Conrad Louw is a seasoned adventurer and wine enthusiast with a B.Com from Stellenbosch University. His career in the pharmaceutical industry took him around the globe, climbing Kilimanjaro (twice), sailing across the Atlantic, and trekking through the Amazon. Along the way, his interest in wine was sparked by the diversity of flavours he encountered abroad. A course at the Cape Wine Academy turned curiosity into a passion, especially for wines he once thought unpalatable, like
Sherry, the subject of his dissertation.

These days, Conrad shares his wine expertise as a lecturer, examiner, and mentor at the Cape Wine Academy and Institute of Cape Wine Masters. He has judged on local and international wine competitions
including Veritas and Michaelangelo International Wine Awards and he is a member of the Commanderie de Bordeaux en Afrique du Sud.
