living illegally in war-torn Berlin and becoming embroiled in
a murky world of treachery. It is a genius solo performance of
a complex character – charismatic, charming and dangerous.
Set against the backdrop of the Holocaust, this play encourages
us to confront our humanity, and choices we make when
threatened, posing the question, “what would I have done
in her place?”
Although a dark subject the candour of the character, wry
observations of her horrific situation peppered with resilience
and humour in the face of certain death make this a memorable
and must-see production.
