In June 2013, the first FynArts, a fusion of arts festival and winter school, debuted to a warm and generous reception. Since then the focus of FynArts has shifted from being a ‘tourism event’ into becoming a top quality, classic-feel arts-related festival presenting a programme of exhibitions, concerts, talks and presentations, workshops, demonstrations and films, as well as events for children.

In addition, FynArts has developed an active outreach program under the banner of the FynArts Development Fund which is the soul beneficiary of the FynArts festival.
Hermanus FynArts has also established a respected art gallery which also houses the FynArts office.

If you would like your business to become a Signature Sponsor and have naming rights to any of the following or private a benefactor contact FynArts Director, Mary Faure on 084 600 7058 or fynarts@hermanus.co.za.

In-kind contributions

Hermanus FynArts has received generous in-kind donations since its first festival in 2013. Support in this category ranges from sponsored accommodation from guesthouses for festival artists, musicians and speakers, to the numerous volunteers that make FynArts happen, to the ample local media coverage and other complimentary support.

There is another avenue for in-kind support of FynArts and that is the donation of time and skills as a musician, writer, filmmaker or visual artist or crafter to mentor and offer training sessions – for starters, once a month to assist with the development of skills training in art for the young and the youth. There are so many retired and non-retired creative skills in our region which could effectively be applied in mentorships or training sessions.

If you would like to discuss any of these options of support, please contact Mary Faure, Festival Director at fynarts@hermanus.co.za or cell 084 600 7068.
